Our Commitment
Pensorix is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards.
Conformance Status
Pensorix aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities.
We are partially conformant with WCAG 2.0 Level AA. Partial conformance means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. We provide an Accessibility Mode (available in Settings) that enables high-contrast focus indicators and improved colour contrast to meet WCAG 2.0 AA requirements for keyboard and low-vision users.
Accessibility Features
- Skip-to-content link at the top of every page
- All pages have a descriptive
<title> - Language attribute (
lang="en") set on the root element - Semantic HTML landmarks (
main, nav, headings hierarchy) - ARIA labels on all icon-only buttons
- Status regions announce dynamic content changes via
aria-live - Charts have descriptive
role="img"andaria-labelattributes - Toggle controls use
role="switch"andaria-checked - Accessibility Mode: opt-in high-contrast focus rings (3 px yellow outline) and boosted muted-text contrast
Known Limitations
The following areas may not fully meet WCAG 2.0 AA without Accessibility Mode enabled:
- Muted text contrast: Some secondary text uses slate-400 (#94a3b8 on a dark background) which falls below the 4.5:1 ratio required for normal text. Accessibility Mode upgrades these to slate-300.
- Focus rings: The default design uses subtle focus indicators. Accessibility Mode replaces these with high-contrast yellow outlines.
- Data charts: Charts (Recharts) expose a textual description via
aria-labelbut do not provide a data table alternative in all views. We plan to add expandable data tables for all chart types.
Technical Approach
Pensorix is built with React and Next.js. We rely on native HTML semantics wherever possible and supplement with WAI-ARIA attributes for custom interactive components. The application is tested with keyboard-only navigation and screen readers (NVDA/VoiceOver).
Legal Framework
This statement is provided in accordance with the European Accessibility Act (EAA) (Directive 2019/882/EU, applicable from June 2025) and the Israeli Standard IS 5568 (Web Accessibility). It is also consistent with U.S. ADA requirements for web accessibility.
